I started training for a half-marathon that is in November. Because of my schedule, I have to get up and run before work. Talk about torture! I get up at 5:30 so that I can be stretched and ready to run by 6 am!
I always tell my friend Marsha that the hardest part is waking up and getting out of BED!!! (ESPECIALLY when your husband and oldest dog is snug as a bug in a rug!
(Of course….Reece can’t let me do anything alone….so the second I sit up…she follows me to the bath room…then the to kitchen…then upstairs….then to the living room…you get my point.)
Anyways…Marsha found this on PINTERIST.
This is so TRUE! I hate life when my alarm goes off…..but once you are out the door, it is actually fun and enjoyable! (most of the time!)
Running also makes me HUNGRY ALL THE TIME! Seriously. I am constantly hungry….so of course I have had dessert every night!
I saw this on PINTERIST too and thought it was too funny not to share!
I am beginning to think this way! Maybe I will have breakfast for dinner……
Today I am going to a funeral. My friend Amanda’s mother passed away. I can’t imagine how much she is hurting right now. The same day her mother passed away, some friends of ours brought a new baby girl into the world. I was instantly reminded of one of my favorite passages in the Bible.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
I have also been thinking how
God is good and never failing….and I have been reminded of that this week!
So count your BLESSINGS and have a FANTASTICAL weekend!
I know I already said this…but I am in love with Pinterist! I was in Tulsa yesterday and realized I needed to get a hostess gift! So I just got on Pinterist on my phone…and searched ‘hostess gift’! There were ton of great ideas!!
Anyways….this weekend I got a little ‘Pinterist‘ happy!
I found this cute idea! (My friend Nina did this for her daughter!) But I just so happened to need a gift of a friend who WAS (Baby A made her appearance on Sunday!) expecting! So here is my attempt….
I went to Hobby Lobby and found a good frame that would work for what I was wanting!
Of course….I HAD to paint it pink!
I hot glued the ribbon on!
Then…TA DA!! Just buy some cute bows and clip them on the ribbon!
Mine isn’t as cute as the picture from Pinterist! But I think they will like it! 🙂
I also made a card for my mom for her BIRTHDAY! I found this cute idea!
Isn’t this soo cute?!?
I just grabbed whatever buttons I had available and….
I am like a proud mom. You know those moms who drive around with the bumper sticker “My kid is an honor student”…. Well I need one that says “My kid can sit and shake!”
I am THAT person who shows you every picture I have taken of my ‘kids’. The only problem….nobody really cares to look at pictures of my dogs. (aka kids)
Except my dad….he is worse than me. He goes around showing everyone pictures of his “grand kids” aka Sally & Reece.
Whats that you say? Show you a bunch of pictures of Sally and Reece cause your dying to see them? WELL ok then!!
Sally & Reece LOVE to run after each other! Or mainly Reece (the pup) likes to run after Sally.
Reece has discovered that her new favorite place to play is in our pond out back. If you look away for 5 seconds…she is already in the water playing around!
Isn’t she CUTE?!?
Sally loves to snuggle. And I guess if there is nobody to snuggle with….she will just work herself in-between the pillows!
You can barely tell she is there!
Remember when Reece was this tiny?
This was her this morning! She just keeps getting cuter and cuter! She currently weighs about 25 Lbs (you will see why I am telling you in a second) oh and she chews up EVERYTHING! But we still love her!
This is Lily. Reece’s sister. She lives in Phoenix! She got to live with us for a few days before we “delivered” her on our vacation!
This is Maddi. She is Reece’s BIG sister. Look how HUGE she is!!
